Terms of use.

The short version: your board has the final word on your renewal, Apple handles payment, and your records are yours.

The license

Renewd is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms are between you and IndieDeveloperJ LLC ("we", "us"), the Arizona company that makes the app. They add a few details about Renewd Pro and the board rules, and are part of that agreement. If they ever conflict, the standard EULA wins.

Your board decides

Renewd works out what's left for your renewal from each board's published rules: the hours, the cycle and the required topics. Every rule in the app names the board's own text it comes from and the date we last checked it, so you can read it yourself.

Boards change their rules, and some rules depend on details only your board knows about you. What your board says always comes first.
Renewd is a tracker, not legal advice, and it doesn't renew your license or report hours to your board for you.
Check with your board before you rely on Renewd for a renewal or an audit, and keep your original certificates as your board asks.
If a rule in the app looks wrong, please tell us. We'll check it against the board's text and fix it.

Renewd Pro

Renewd is free for one license, with hand entry, progress, reminders, widgets and Siri. Renewd Pro adds scanning and importing certificates, the audit packet and every license you hold.
Renewd Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
The monthly and yearly plans may start with a free trial, shown in the app before you buy. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and is charged. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy another Renewd Pro plan.
Renewd Pro is shared with your Family Sharing group.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your device's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If Renewd Pro ends, nothing you saved is taken away. Your licenses, certificates and progress stay, and adding a certificate by hand is always free.

Your records

What you add to the app is yours. It stays on your devices (see the privacy policy), so please keep your own copies of your certificates; an audit packet is a handy one. We can't recover records we never had.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed.
